Animals attract me because they represent a mystery made of suggestions and colors, and, moreover, they are never isolated, because they are immersed in a nature of leaves, flowers and butterflies.

Animals have a spiritual life that is mysterious to us, but perceptible, that unites us and perhaps for this reason we feel attraction and joy when we are with them. I am convinced that animals have a soul, certainly not rational like ours, but bearer of a spiritual life, because part of God's creation.

Nature surrounds the animal, permeates it, and is inseparable from it. It represents the world or rather “the overworld” where it lives in freedom. Even flowers, leaves and butterflies have a vital value, they are not decorative elements, but parallel levels of life.

The intensity of the color is given by the intensity of the emotions.

When I immerse myself in the “overworld”, I feel the vibration that the colour generates and transmits, together with the heat or coldness it emanates, not only in a physical sense, but also in a spiritual one.

The intense color is the one I perceive most strongly.

Color is life and a messenger of emotions, what sense would painting (and life) have without color?

The painting is born from a long and deep inspirational moment that brings out the subject in my mind, then I start to paint, slowly, to define the details in detail, the inspiration dictates to me at the moment the colors to use and any corrections. For a 100 x 100 painting it takes about 500 hours of work distributed over two or three months because I work freely, when inspiration allows it without economic constraints.

I have never thought of ideally associating myself with a style or a pictorial movement, I think that Prof. Enrico Maria Davoli, writer and teacher of Contemporary Art, has perfectly identified my art and its origin, animistic art, writing "... the animistic one is a state of communion between things and with things, which makes the subject identify with the world, sacralizing it. In this sense, every form of life is necessary ... "

In the university studies of Architecture in the 70s there were several exams that specifically concerned art.

In those days, architects personally executed the project drawings with pens and pencils, slowly and without errors, because they had to convey the architectural idea concretely to the builder. It was probably this approach that led me to carry out the works slowly and methodically.

Given the long pictorial work and the limited production, a 100 x 100 acrylic canvas painting is quoted from 25,000 to 35,000 euros. Reproductions of numbered silkscreens will allow greater accessibility to the works.

They are a source of joy, both in painting them and in looking at them, they express my interiority and I am happy when others understand them. They help me live my life better, they are imaginary friends who look at me telling me their fantastic, slightly magical stories, they take me by the hand and let me enter their world.
